MISSION

“To promote and deliver to the community a quality, caring service in a Christian environment.”

VALUES

Our primary focus is always to meet the needs of our residents for holistic care including spiritual, physical, emotional and intellectual requirements. Our aim is to ensure that our residents, carers, and families of residents will be extended the utmost respect and dignity, empowering our residents to achieve a maximum independence and self-determination.

OUR TEAM

Happy staff means happy residents, and you can tell by the smiles at De Paul Villa that we must doing something right. Renowned for our friendly, relaxed atmosphere, we take great pride in our dynamic and compassionate workforce who are all focused on providing the best possible care.
Higher than average staffing levels, a low staff turnover rate and an education initiative that supports staff to further their studies has greatly improved the continuity of care for residents.
Staff are not just employed with all the appropriate qualifications and experience in their chosen area… but more importantly because they care about what they do. Residents and family consistently rate staff with high levels of satisfaction, with staff often exceeding their expectations. At the same time very high satisfaction levels have also been identified by our staff from their working experience here at De Paul Villa.

AWARDS

De Paul Villa won a coveted National Award for ‘Better Practice in Aged Care’ in 2009, after designing and implementing an innovative care system based on a partnership with other health professionals. The system also greatly reduced the amount of paperwork for De Paul Villa’s nurses, which in turn resulted in significant improvements in the health of residents at De Paul Villa.
Senior Gold Coast Hospital staff also praised the concise and accurate information that accompanies residents from De Paul Villa when they require hospitalisation.
These Better Practice Awards are rarely given out by the agency that monitors the standard of care throughout Australia and with only 50 such awards given out since 2003, De Paul Villa is the only home on the Gold Coast to have earned one.
